Afterschool Programs

The after school and summer school programs of PasadenaLEARNs offer engaging enrichment, leadership, and learning opportunities for K-12 students in the Pasadena Unified School District. Activities complement the school day, and include homework help, leadership, visual and performing arts classes, structured recreation, academic enrichment activities, and literacy development. Field trips are a regular feature of PasadenaLEARNs' spring break and summer programs.

PasadenaLEARNs serves more than 3,000 students daily at 23 school sites in PUSD:

Elementary Schools: Altadena, Cleveland, Field*, Franklin, Hamilton, Jackson, Jefferson, Longfellow, Madison, McKinley, Norma Coombs*, Roosevelt, San Rafael*, Washington Accelerated Elementary, Webster, Willard
Middle Schools:
Blair, Eliot, Marshall Fundamental, Washington Middle, Webster, Wilson         

High Schools: Blair High School, Marshall Fundamental, Pasadena High School , Muir High School

PasadenaLEARNs 2013-2014 Summer Application and Flyers
The PasadenaLEARNs "X-Plosion" will take place from Tuesday, June 3, 2014 through Wednesday, July 9, 2014. The program is FREE Monday - Thursday for students at schools with PasadenaLEARNs. If students want to attend the Friday field trips, the cost is $100 Elementary and $50 Middle for the entire summer (all 4 trips).

Non-PasadenaLEARNs School Site will be assess a $220 fee, we do not provide service for out of district students. 
 

PEF
 LEARNs After Care - Monday, June 16, 2014 through Thursday, July 17 2014. The cost is $300 and fees must be paid by April 18, 2014.

21st ASSETs Century Grant
Pasadena Unified School District has elected to submit an application for the 21st Century High School After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) Grant.  These grants will provide before school and additional after school programming at Pasadena LEARNs high schools.

We are looking for program partners and community-based organizations to join us in our effort to provide excellent out of school opportunities for students in the Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre areas.  For more information, call (626) 396-3614.

PasadenaLEARNs Science Olympiad
 The PasadenaLEARNs Science Olympiad will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 9:00am-3:00 pm at Blair East Campus (across the street from the high school) located at 1201 S. Marengo Ave; Pasadena, CA 91103. We are looking for judges.

Science Olympiad is a hands-on science competition for grades 2-6.  

The work the students are doing has truly encompassed collaboration, problem solving, creativity and the real world application of the math and science they are learning during the school day. Come see our scientists and mathematicians at work.
